We’ve been on a big journey.
Sunday, November 17, 2024, marked the London Children’s Museum’s last day open to the public at 21 Wharncliffe Road South. For over four decades, this beloved home has served as a place of wonder, learning, and joy for countless children and their loved ones.
As we reflect on decades of memories at the Wharncliffe location, our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and appreciation. We’re reminded of the laughter echoing through our halls, the wide-eyed curiosity of young learners, and the shared moments of discovery that have defined the London Children’s Museum. These walls have witnessed the boundless joy, wonder, and a love of learning that your children have carried out into our community.
While the last day of play at 21 Wharncliffe Road South marks the end of an era, it also opens the door to an exciting new chapter. We’re not only moving locations, we’re growing alongside the children and families who’ve made the London Children’s Museum a home for creativity and discovery.
Our new home at 100 Kellogg Lane is a gift to our community, built to inspire the next generation of dreamers, makers, thinkers, and adventurers. With eight new exhibits designed by children and families, this new space will grow the museum’s impact for generations to come.
While we spend time reflecting on the last 42 years, we are filled with profound gratitude and excitement for our future. As we prepare to welcome you to our new home, we look forward to continuing to be a place where every child can feel a little braver, more inspired, and more connected to their community and the world around them.
Our journey continues.
This isn’t goodbye - it’s see you soon!
With gratitude,
London Children’s Museum team
