Explore sounds, geology, and tinkering during a sound-sational day of auditory play! Get hands-on with musical instruments and transform natural objects into an instrument using your hands or technology.

9:30 - 11 am: Science of Play
Explore new exhibits and materials that support your child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This week's theme: Sensory Play - Balancing Act

10 - 11 am: SPECIAL GUEST: Forest City Little Music Makers
Join Lisette from Forest City Little Music Makers for a morning of making music together! Be loud, quiet, silly, or serious as you dance, sing, and make music with small handheld instruments.

11 am - 12 pm: Rock Pets
Explore the different textures and appearances of rocks, then, use your natural creativity to turn a rock into your own pet.

1 - 5 pm: Tinker and Tunes
Test, try, and listen as you create music and listen to sounds formed by tinkering with toys.

2:30 - 3:30 pm: STEAM: Makey Makey
Explore the science of circuits and conductivity using technology to transform fruit into musical instruments.

All programs are included in general admission and are free for members. Admission can be purchased in advance online or by walk-in at our front desk!

After years of planning, dreaming, and building, we are so close to opening the doors to the new London Children’s Museum at 100 Kellogg Lane. But we urgently need your help.
